Participation to HEDLA2018

From May 27th to June 1st, King Fai Farley Law and Chang Liu participated in the 12th International Conference on High Energy Density Laboratory Astrophysics (HEDLA) at Kurashiki city, Okayama. In this conference, a wide range of laboratory studies related to astrophysics, such as magnetic reconnection, plasma instabilities and shock wave study, are presented. As applications by using intense lasers such as LFEX or GEKKO XII, Mr. Law gave presentation “Generation of anti-parallel kilo-tesla magnetic field and particle acceleration with laser-driven snail target” and Mr. Liu gave poster presentation “Design of Zeeman spectroscopy experiment with magnetized silicon plasma generated in the laboratory”.
